Roaches In Your Home? We Are Here To Help!
If you are reading this, you may be dealing with cockroaches in your home and are looking for a fast and effective solution!
Roaches are a frustrating and unpleasant pest. They are often associated with filth and squalor. However, they can in fact infest any home, no matter how clean or new it might be. Homeowners are often appalled to find an active roach infestation in their otherwise spotless home. Roaches come in a variety of species and sizes, from the giant Palmetto bug down to the tiny brown banded roach. Each type of roach is unique, and identifying the species in question can require the assistance of a professional pest technician.
Roaches tend to be attracted to warm and humid areas of the home. As such, they are often found in areas that fulfill these requirements such as kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. While they prefer these conditions, their primary reason for inhabiting a home is that the area provides them with adequate food. Most roaches are scavengers, and will eat almost anything, even small crumbs or food stains.

Here is more information on common roaches that live in the Savannah and surrounding areas:
About The German Roach
The German Roach is a relatively small species of roach that varies in color from tan to almost black, it can be identified by two dark stripes that run parallel from the base of its head.
They can feed on almost anything including grease soap and even dust. German Roaches are notable for their ability to rapidly reproduce. A single adult female can produce more than 300 offspring in her lifetime what may start with just a few German roaches can quickly turn into a major infestation that can make even the best kept house seem squalid.
The All American Cockroach: The Palmetto bug
Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and palmetto bugs? Actually the term Palmetto bug is just another name for what is more commonly known as the American cockroach or scientifically known as Periplaneta americana but to make matters even more confusing this species of roach actually originated in Africa.
Regardless the Palmetto bug or American cockroach is one of the most common species of cockroach found on the North American continent. It is also bad news because they can carry bacteria that can cause Salmonella or allergic reactions. It’s not at all unpatriotic to evict American cockroaches from your home.

Where To Locate Them
If roaches are active in your home, there are a few signs that can help you locate them. Usually, an area with high roach activity will have a musty, unpleasant odor. You may also find dark colored stains as well as egg capsules around corners and wall openings. It is important to remember that roaches are reclusive pests, and these signs may be the only obvious evidence of their existence in your home.
Our Process To Keep Your Home Roach Free
The process for treating roaches is largely dependent on whether the species is a large outdoor roach species or a smaller roach species. For larger roaches, the most effective approach is an outside in treatment plan. Larger roaches tend to enter the home from the outside, having infiltrated through attics, crawlspaces, vents, or windows. Once inside, these roaches will reproduce and create an active population in the home. Prevention of these species starts with identifying how the roaches were able to enter the home, and then sealing up and treating their access point. Once this is completed, the inside population can be eliminated without fear of more roaches entering the home in future.
For smaller roach species, treatment is mostly focused on the inside of the home. Smaller roaches are more often transported by human activity, being carried in with packages or luggage. This was once a major problem in the brown paper bag days of grocery stores, as roaches could sometimes be carried inside packaging materials. Once the roaches gain access to the home, they quickly spread out, reproduce, and build up an infestation inside your home. Dealing with this threat begins with a thorough inspection of the home, identifying any problem areas that require treatment. During this time, the technician will sometimes provide recommendations to the homeowner to help remove any conditions that are conducive to infestation. Once the inspection is complete, the technician will apply a state registered product to the identified areas. In some cases, multiple applications of treatment may be required to completely eliminate the roach population.
